MITIGATION SYSTEM COMPONENT
RADON SYSTEM MONITOR
A warning device must be installed to alert you if the
radon mitigation system stops working properly.
A u-tube manometer (shown at left) is a simple device
used to measure system vacuum pressure. Vacuum pressure provides an indication that
the fan system is operating.
Other types of radon monitoring devices (shown below) will provide both visual and audible
warnings should the radon fan malfunction.

Homeowners should consult with a qualified radon professional for
a full explanation of the radon system monitoring device installed with their mitigation
system.
